Why French Press?
French press coffee is brewed by letting grounds steep fully in hot water, then pressing and pouring when it’s ready. The result is a bold, satisfying cup that’s easy to make and easy to love. Just scoop, steep, press, and enjoy. It’s a classic for a reason.
What You'll Need
Just some simple tools, a little time, and room to enjoy the moment.
- As much coffee and water as you’d like to brew. We’ll use 45 grams of coffee and 800 grams of filtered water, heated to 205F
- French Press
- Coffee Grinder
- Gram Scale
- Kettle
- Timer
Step 1
Measure 45g of coffee, grind medium-coarse, and pour into the brewer.
Step 2
Start your timer, and pour 800 grams of water into the brewer. After 30 seconds, stir, and fix the lid on top.
Step 3
After 6 minutes, press the plunger to the bottom of the brewer.
Step 4
Enjoy!
