French Press
For the best quality coffee, we don’t recommend the French Press.
Step 1
Start with fresh or filtered water, heated to just below a boil.
Step 2
Just prior to brewing, grind your coffee beans to a course texture.
Step 3
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of coarse ground coffee per 8 fluid ounces of water (1 cup).
Step 4
You can adjust the ratio of coffee grounds to water based on your personal taste – if you like a stronger brew, add more grounds, or if you’d like a mellow cup, try adding less.
Step 5
Make sure to never add boiling water to the French press, or leave it over heat for more than 15 minutes, it can result in a less delicious brew.
Storage: Once your beans are opened, store them in an airtight container that you keep in a cool, dry place. If you want the beans and your coffee to taste their best, which obviously you do, grind them just before you start brewing.
